Whyalla Stuart Campus R-7 and Fisk Street Primary Schools are delighted to be the recipients of 15 free acoustic guitars under the Music Council of Australia’s “Guitars for Schools” program. The guitars arrived at the schools last week and were presented to the students, who are learning guitar with Mr Bill Stevens, one of the DECS Music Teachers in Whyalla. The program, which is supported by the Ian Potter Foundation & ‘Fall in Light’, fosters students in low socio schools to continue with their music lessons and encourage them to practice at home to increase their skills. The recipients and staff at both sites wish to thank the Music Council of Australia for their generosity and support of the music programs at the schools.
